During the Financial Results Briefing for the Fiscal Year, Nintendo informed the eagerly awaiting masses that it will not, in fact, hold a large-scale press conference during E3 this year. The company will instead provide people with more information on its plans sometime in the (hopefully near) future.

While this news may be disappointing to many, the announcement isn’t exactly surprising. Nintendo has veered away from hosting major press conferences during the expo week the past few years and has opted to rely on digital presentations to announce details regarding new games, systems and other sizable pieces of information to the media and public.
