The Pokemon company sure seems to love Machamp lately. I doubt a lot of people were expecting it to make it into Pokkén Tournament, or to be one of the Ride Pokemon in Sun & Moon. But this latest appearance tops all of those. With subtle lighting, the right filter, and a smile that says “I fight, but I also know how to love” — say hello to 2017’s hot item: MaChamps.
A full press release indicates that this is the work of the company’s new VP of Underwear Avril Fürst, breaking new ground with their ambitious debut. It’s almost baffling that this sort of direction hadn’t been taken in the past, but it’s finally time for Machamp to show the world its true passion.
Only the Superpower Pokémon could somehow technically wear more clothing by being an underwear model, but here we are with the PCI’s April Fools image. It’s definitely an interesting direction, but with the whole internet becoming a stage for jokes today it’s one Nintendo fans shouldn’t miss.
