Konami’s Japanese YouTube has uploaded what looks to be the start of a new series for their upcoming Switch launch game, Super Bomberman R. The new game in the frantically explosive franchise is one I’m excited to get my own hands on, but for now I can enjoy the first episode of Bomberman TV. While a good portion of the video is dedicated to talking about the game and its characters with a pair of its voice actors, there are some great bits of game play as well.
Of note is a look at some character customization options at the 22:42 mark, which flows right in to some story mode gameplay. Once it reaches 26:39 we get a look at boss fights too, both in the form of more classic action and a battle against a crab-like mech. At 31:43 we get some two on two multiplayer competition, giving the people what they want when it comes to Bomberman.
Keep in mind the video’s all in Japanese, but it’s still great to see people excited over and enjoying the game. Super Bomberman R will be launching with the Switch on March 3rd.
