Those of you that missed catching Genesect at GameStop last November via the series’ 20th anniversary celebration are in luck, as a second opportunity to secure the Paleozoic Pokémon is available all month long.
Using a special promo code, Trainers can download the mythical ‘mon in all its predator inspired glory to their copies of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and/or Alpha Sapphire. Already trained to level 100, Genesect comes with the moves Techno Blast, Magnet Bomb, Solar Beam and Signal Beam. Be sure to act quickly though, as this event will only last until the end of the month on February 28th.
To receive your Mythical Pokémon, make sure to go to Mystery Gift, select “Receive Gift,” and then choose “Get with Code / Password.” You’ll then be given the option to enter code GENESECT20.
Don’t forget to pick it up at the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center once you’re finished (unless you plan to soft reset for perfect natures and IVs of course).
Remember, the code won’t work for any game where GameStop’s Genesect code was previously redeemed.
