Masaya Nakamura, the founder of Namco and regarded as the “Father of Pac-Man” has passed away on January 22nd at the age of 91.

Nakamura founded Namco (know as Nakamura Manufacturing at the time) in 1955 which, at the time, included two mechanical horse rides that resided at the top of a department store. What started as a modest entertainment company blossomed into one of the most beloved and influential gaming companies the world has ever known.
