It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 20 years since Harvest Moon was introduced to the world. Originally launched on the Super Nintendo back in June of 1997, the Harvest Moon series has now graced consoles ranging from the original Game Boy to smart devices like the iPhone. To celebrate two decades of farming, drama and role playing, Natsume has announced that a 20th anniversary celebration is in the works, scheduled to kick off this February.

“2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year, and not only for fans of the Harvest Moon series! We’re excited to reveal other titles we’ll be working on this year in the coming weeks and months. We’ll be officially kicking off the Harvest Moon 20th anniversary in February – watch for it soon!”

There’s no word yet on what we can expect from the 20th anniversary celebration, but stay tuned to Nintendo Wire for more details as they become available!
