As 2016 comes to a close we want to thank all of our readers for supporting us. It’s undeniable that this was a pretty slow year for Nintendo, with the Wii U winding down and the 3DS getting its last big push, but thanks to our readers, whether you follow our social media feeds or simply visit the site, we have been able to grow immensely all the same.

At Nintendo Wire we’re always striving to bring you well-written and concise gaming coverage with a personal touch. We don’t want to be a distantly objective outlet because we love being part of the community; sharing our thoughts and delivering information in a much more down-to-earth manner than other sites. For that reason we also try to avoid using clickbait and obtrusive ads – we know you hate them because, well, we do too.

As we go forward into 2017 this outlook won’t change. With the launch of the Switch it’s going to be an exciting year and you can expect our coverage to only get better, featuring all the hottest news and reviews for Nintendo’s latest system.

If you’ve been following us, you’ll also be aware we’re expanding outside of Nintendo too, with the brand new sister site PlayStation Wire adopting the same approach to how we cover games. If you’re a PlayStation owner, we’d love it if you could check it out.

So once again, thank you for reading. Here’s to a 2017 full of fun gaming!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
