Super Mario Run has hit 50 million downloads on the App Store after only one week, becoming “the fastest in App Store history” to reach that number, according to Nintendo.

The news came a few days after it was announced the game hit 40 million downloads.

While the figure doesn’t tell how many people have bought the app’s full version, it’s telling just how many people have at least tried the game out in only one week.

According to Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima, these figures are as expected.

Kimishima also reconfirms that the Android version of Super Mario Run will release in 2017 alongside two to three other Nintendo mobile titles.
