A new extended trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon anime has launched!
Most importantly, the two minute video has revealed to us that the Sun & Moon arc of the anime will make its debut on TV Tokyo in Japan with an hourlong special episode on November 17th, just under a month from now. While we won’t be seeing it at exactly the same time as Japan here in NA, I’d wager the wait won’t be too long.
The trailer also teased Z-Moves, the new battle feature within Sun & Moon. Brief clips showed both Pikachu and Alola’s Turtonator using them. Ash was also shown wearing a Z-Ring.
Another interesting bit revealed in the trailer is that the Rotom Pokédex will be present and alongside Ash. Its role in the anime is unknown as of right now, however that’s sure to change come the first episode.
Ash is heading to school in this new arc, and will meet a host of new characters throughout his efforts, including Trial Captains Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, Kiawe, as well as Samson Oak, Professor Kukui and Lillie. Additionally, Ash has brought his mom and Mr. Mime around this time!
