Living and working in Japan certainly has its perks, and for me that includes the ability to visit the Pokémon Center within my city of Sapporo. Saturday marked the release of both the Pokémon Sun and Moon starter and legendary plushes within Pokémon Center stores. Naturally, I couldn’t resist making my way out to represent my choice (Team Rowlet!), but also to share what they have with all you lovely readers.

The store itself was a pleasure to visit, as always, and the Gen VII plushes were present in both “New Product” bins and their own designated shelves.

With Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Solgaleo and Lunala all there and accounted for, it was absolutely worth the trip. All the starters looked and felt great, with Rowlet’s roundness sticking out in particular to me (though I’m definitely biased). In addition, the detailing on the legendaries — such as the stars present on their foreheads — left a good impression on me.

Other than the Gen VII plushes, the Pokémon Center pre-order bonuses were also on display. After seeing the Solgaleo and Lunala figures, as well as the special artbook given to those that order both versions, the idea of purchasing both games is definitely tempting.

Please enjoy the pictures and stay connected to Nintendo Wire for more Pokémon Center content from in the future!

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
