It’s impossible not to wonder what the very first Super Mario mobile experience will be like when it hits iOS this December. Ever since Nintendo’s recent reveal of the app, people have been making speculations about how the new way of playing Mario – by using only one hand with a phone instead of holding a controller with two hands – will affect the player’s experience.

Shigeru Miyamoto decided to weigh in on the topic by making an appearance in a cute, quirky video segment that Nintendo of America shared on Twitter just today. Watching him navigate Mario through levels while pretending to exercise and shake hands on an imaginary train is definitely a fun way for Nintendo to illustrate how the new method of gameplay could be “handy” for players.

Just three more months until we get to try out Run for ourselves! It’s nice to see that Nintendo is continuing to raise the hype with fun videos like this one. Hopefully we get more like it while we wait.
