Picross 3D debuted on Nintendo DS in 2009. Seven years later, the series is finally returning to the West with Picross 3D Round 2 for Nintendo 3DS.

Released last October in Japan, the sequel brings hundreds of new puzzles, new features, and stereoscopic 3D to this addictive puzzle series. Like the many standard Picross offerings on 3DS, Picross 3D takes the number-based chizzel to rows and columns of blocks to reveal pictures; but by utilizing a third axis, these images are now three-dimensional models.

In Round 2, blocks can now be painted with two colors of paint, allowing players to search for hidden objects within each puzzle. In addition to the game’s more than 300 puzzles, a selection of compatible amiibo can be tapped to unlock bonus character-themed puzzles.

You can try out Picross 3D Round 2 today with a free demo on the 3DS eShop. If you like what you play, the full game is available now for $29.99.
