Nintendo’s Gamescom activities are well under way, with a Splatoon tournament being held by ESLGaming taking center stage at the moment. It turns out this is just the start of further competitive action too, as Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata has announced Nintendo will be teaming up with the eSports organization to plan and hold a 6-month series of online tournaments for the game.

As of right now the tournaments will be exclusive to Europe, and will start from the beginning of September. There aren’t too many specifics at the moment, however, but we’ll be sure to bring you more information as it’s made available.
