Everyone has been curious about the final evolutions of the latest line of starter Pokémon since they were announced earlier this year, and it looks like the Pokémon Company may have let the cat out of the bag accidentally with today’s news update.
The potential leak originated around two months ago, and purports to feature the trio of final evolutions. Take a look:
While before now it seemed like any other rumored “leak,” the presence of one character in particular suddenly stands out like a sore thumb: Mallow, the new trial captain.
The hair is accurate, as is the flower adornment, and even the use of a kettle matches her apparent love of cooking.
Of course what is worth noting is that, even if this is real, it’s still technically concept art. Ideas can change over time, especially with Pokémon designs (lest we forget the Latias/Blaziken combo that was drawn up ahead of Ruby and Sapphire.)
