Fans of N64-era, mascot driven, collectathon, explorative 3D platformers, rejoice! The fine folks at Playtonic Games have seen fit to reward those of you that backed Yooka-Laylee at an appropriate tier with their promised special Toybox preview. This will be much more than a demo, but rather a self contained look at just what this bat and chameleon duo will have in store come the game’s release proper.

If you’re expecting the reward, keep an eye on your email. A Kickstarter update has already gone out and the codes themselves are finding their way to players’ hands across the day. Checking your survey page for the game on BackerKit, the fulfillment service Playtonic is using, should have the code ready and waiting now. While the whole game will be out on Wii U, the Toybox is PC, Mac and Linux only. Once you’ve got your code it can be claimed via Steam to enjoy in heated anticipation of the full game’s multi-platform release in early 2017.
