Back in late May an enterprising Wii U data miner found Callie and Marie costumes in an update file for Super Mario Maker. It has been over a month since they were spotted, but Nintendo has finally spilled the beans and confirmed that an Event Course for the sisters will be arriving on July 8th. It will need to be completed twice to unlock both sisters. You can check out the two costumes in action below:
The fact the costumes are available via Event Course is admittedly a little strange, considering Callie and Marie are also getting amiibo on the exact same day. It could just be that Nintendo wants everyone to be able to celebrate the upcoming final Splatfest in style, and are giving them out as a freebie.
