After several months of Pokémon GO field testing, sources close to Nintendo Inquirer have informed us that Niantic has announced that the beta will come to an end on June 30th.

That Thursday, the current Pokémon GO app will become unplayable and all gameplay data will be erased in preparation for the game’s official launch.

In the near future, those who participated in the field test will receive a special image in their app to screenshot that thanks them for their role in the beta.

Pokémon GO is expected to make its public release by the end of July.
