Those hoping for a Nintendo console release of Kickstarter-backed project Starr Mazer can celebrate: Wii U and 3DS versions of the game are in the works.

Starr Mazer is a genre fusion of point-and-click adventure and 2D shooter, utilizing pixel art and 8-bit music not unlike that found in indie game Shovel Knight.

The developers of the title describe it like a “season of a show,” but each episode can be played in any order.

“These episodes all have many entry points and exit points, but the core content of each episode is meticulously crafted,” reads the game’s Kickstarter description. “Your actions modify situations and outcomes of future episodes. As you complete key episodes in the overall narrative, the scenarios start funneling into one of a few logical and satisfying endings influenced by your actions throughout.”

A tentative “mid-2017” release date has been given by developer Imagos Softworks.
