A new trailer has been revealed for the next installment in the Story of Seasons franchise: Trio of Towns. Formerly known as Harvest Moon in the west, the Story of Seasons franchise debuted 20 years ago, with Trio of Towns being released to celebrate the birthday of the farming simulation series.

The E3 trailer showcases what players will spend most of their time doing in the world; activities such as fishing, planting seeds, raising livestock and harvesting crops. Farm customization options introduced in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning can also be found here, with farmers able to choose the exact layout of their farmland.

As was the case in 2010’s Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns, there will be multiple locales to explore when you get tired of plowing the fields, but the developers have added a third town in this new installment. As the title suggests, Trio of Towns will place your farm at the crossroads of three different towns, with plenty of shops, friends and love interests to discover in each one.

While players in Japan will be able to get started on their farms on June 23rd, North America will have to wait until 2017 to get their hands on the new game.
