Online registration has officially opened for the 2016 Pokémon US National Championship. The event is scheduled to take place on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Columbus Ohio.
This year’s Championship should bring even more action than usual, as Pokkén Tournament joins the event alongside the usual Pokémon TCG and Pokémon video game competitions. Prizes, which can be awarded in either cash or scholarships, total $225,000.
To be eligible for entry, players must have earned the required number of Play! Points from participating in official Pokémon tournaments or league events. Registration will be available through June 24th – with fees ranging from $15 to $45 – depending on division and bonus swag.
