Yooka-Laylee delayed into 2017, gets a new trailer | Nintendo Wire

Kickstarter backers aren’t strangers to their funded games being delayed, but it’s still understandable that people feel stung when it does happen. The latest project to be pushed back is Playtonic’s Yooka-Laylee, which is moving from an October 2016 release to a Q1 2017 launch window.

The reason for the delay is given on the official Playtonic website:

“While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally projected in our Kickstarter, the Playtonic team has decided that it would prefer to add a few extra months’ polish to the game schedule.”

To soften the blow the developers have released a new trailer for E3. Check it out:

Always excited to see something a little bit different, Tom is ready to report on games of all shapes and sizes, whether they be wonderful or weird (or, better yet, both.) Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
