The development of Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 has faced a troubled history, and is often seen as emblematic of the potential risks of Kickstarter campaigns. After several delays, however, the game seems ready to launch in a month, and a new trailer has been released to show off some of its gameplay details.

The trailer gives information about the various mechanics of Mighty No. 9’s gameplay, including dashing, comboing, and the ability to absorb enemies’ abilities. Mixed in with this is a throaty announcer delivering cheesy, ’90s era humor in a somewhat questionable manner. While all comedy is subjective, the cornball nature of the trailer falls a little flat.

You can check out the trailer right below. Mighty No. 9 is slated for a June 21st release, assuming it doesn’t get delayed again.
