Yet another Super Mario Maker update has landed, but this time around it isn’t anything too significant. From what players have gathered so far the new patch is mostly concerned with making search tools more convenient and fair.

Here’s the full list of changes:

  • The “Weekly” option for the Star Ranking list has been removed, leaving just the “All-Time” highest ranked levels.
  • The Star Ranking list now orders the highest ranked levels in proportion to the number of people who have played them, rather than just the overall number of stars given.
  • “Super Expert” has been introduced to the Difficulty filter when searching courses.
  • A new menu button has been added for looking at your costume collection, meaning you no longer have to place and tap a Mystery Mushroom to figure out what you’re missing.

Hopefully all of this will mean more levels get to share the spotlight in the near future!

We’ll be sure to keep you informed if and when more Super Mario Maker updates land.
