The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is now available for purchase on the Wii U eShop in North America for $9.99!

Link’s first adventure on the Nintendo DS picks up right where Wind Waker left off, featuring Link and Tetra sailing across the Great Sea after Ganon’s defeat. However, a new threat arises as Tetra disappears aboard a mysterious Ghost Ship. Link must join forces with a new Fairy partner, Ciela, and Linebeck, the reluctant captain of the S.S. Linebeck, in order to save her.

Much like Wind Waker, gameplay is divided between sailing from island to island and exploring them, and their dungeons, on foot. To sail, the stylus is used to draw a course on the sea chart, which the S.S. Linebeck will then follow automatically. While on foot the stylus is used to control Link’s movement and his sword attacks. Several classic Legend of Zelda weapons also make a return, utilizing touch screen controls this time around.

The touch controls make Phantom Hourglass a little tough to grasp at first, but so rewarding to play. It’s a worthy sequel to one of my favorite Zelda games, and you can pick it up on your Wii U right now in the Nintendo eShop for only $9.99!
