Jupiter Co. has announced that Picross e7, the latest in its long-running line of 3DS puzzle games, will be released on the Japanese eShop on April 27th. The new entry joins an abundance of picross titles on the 3DS eShop; including the six previous entries in the series, Pokemon Picross, and the inaugural My Nintendo reward: My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Though it won’t feature any dramatic evolutions to the formula, e7 comes with plenty of content to keep Picross junkies busy. Over 300 new puzzles will be featured across both standard and Mega Picross, alongside three new Micross puzzles – each home to a subset of puzzles of their own.

Owners of Picross e, e2 or e3 will automatically receive a selection of free bonus puzzles for the new title.

While Picross e7 has currently only been confirmed for release in Japan, Jupiter’s track record with the Picross e series suggests that it won’t be long before we see it make its way stateside.
