So, unfortunately, no new Pokémon Sun and Moon information has been revealed.
According to Serebii last week, Junichi Masuda and Shigeki Morimoto were confirmed to make an appearance on the Pokémon variety show Pokénchi, giving us and a number of other news sources good reason to believe that new footage of Pokémon Sun and Moon was to be revealed. As new Pokémon game information has made its way onto the show before, this wasn’t an unrealistic assumption to be made, and we ran with it in hopes that it would be true.
As we’re sure most of you know by now, however, it wasn’t, and we’re just as disappointed as we’re sure you all are.
We were running with fairly iffy information, and as such, were subject to be wrong. However, we had absolutely no intention of leading anyone into false info. We’d just like to take a moment to give a sincere apology from all of us at Nintendo Inquirer for getting everyone’s hopes up. We can assure you, we had no idea there would be no new info and were just as hopeful as anyone else!
I’d also like to note that we haven’t ever had any affiliation with the streamer, giancarloparimango11, who we embedded into our previous article about the episode. While we’d like to thank him for streaming the episode, he had no involvement with our being wrong about the content.
Again, we’re extremely sorry for getting anyone’s hopes up about today’s episode. Hopefully, information like this will be more clear in the future, both for our benefit and for yours. And at the very least, we’ve got this month’s issue of CoroCoro to look forward to!

The first footage of upcoming games Pokémon Sun and Moon is upon us!
In just a few hours, a new episode of Pokémon variety show Gathering at the Pokémon House (also known as Pokenchi) will air in Japan, which is set to feature discussions from series director Junichi Masuda, as well as developers Shigeki Morimoto and Shigeru Ohmori.
Those interested in watching the episode as it airs can watch a livestream put together by YouTube user giancarloparimango11.
The latest episode of Gathering at the Pokémon House airs this evening at 4:00 p.m. PST / 6:00 p.m. CST / 7:00 p.m. EST.
