Today Nintendo has released a free Pokkén Tournament demo for North American Wii U owners to download! Putting the fresh, new fighter in people’s hands is sure to be a crowd pleaser, though as per usual, there will be a limited number of plays. If this follows the European demo’s specs, it’ll be ten chances to have a battle against the CPU. This is still a great way to get a feel for the mechanics and style, though sadly there is no multiplayer available in the demo. There’s still some variety to be had, however, as the demo comes with four Pokémon available to play as: Pikachu, Charizard, Gengar and Lucario.

I’m currently having a great time with Pokkén and definitely recommend checking out the demo. If you need further convincing than that, check out our review to see what it’s all about!
