My Nintendo has officially launched in Japan, and with it, a slew of brand new information about the all new reward program and how points can be earned.

My Nintendo points can be earned by completing “missions”– ranging from registering your Facebook account on the service to purchasing games in the eShop. You can see what missions are available to you through the Missions tab in My Nintendo.

These points can be used to to get discounts on games or purchase games outright. Discounts ranging from 20% to 50% have been revealed for games on the 3DS and Wii U.

Full games can also be purchased with points. The list includes the recently leaked My Nintendo Picross – The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and DS classic WarioWare: Touched.

We’re still waiting on confirmation about a North American release date for My Nintendo, but at least now we know what to expect now!
