The 2015 fiscal year comes to a close at the end of this month, and as a result companies around the globe will be organizing data to map out their financial development across the previous 12 months. Nintendo is no exception, and the company has announced we’ll be seeing its report on April 27th, 2016.

These reports are targeted more towards investors than consumers, but they do tend to shed light on how certain franchises are performing and give us a glimpse into Nintendo’s plans for the future. Just looking at the 2014 report you can see references to 2015’s smart device push and the focus on building up IP recognition through merchandising and licensing.

It’s worth keeping an eye out for the supplementary release too, which comes alongside the main report as a separate document. It is here that exact sales of the year’s releases are listed, and very occasionally it reveals launch dates for the next fiscal year’s games. Interesting tidbits can come out of this section, for example last year’s report stated that Project Giant Robot would release within the first half of 2015, which obviously never came to pass.

Be sure to check back on April 27th to see if any news breaks from this upcoming financial report!
