The official webpage for Kirby: Planet Robobot has been released in Japan, and with it is a treasure chest of new information about how amiibo will function in game!
Both old and new amiibo figures have been confirmed to work with Kirby: Planet Robobot, each unlocking a special ability for Kirby to use during his adventure. A Princes Peach amiibo will unlock the parasol copy ability; Link will unlock the sword copy ability; Mario will unlock the Fire ability; and the Smash Bros. Kirby amiibo will unlock an ability from the Super Smash Bros. series.
The new series of Kirby amiibo will unlock several different abilities. The Star Kirby amiibo will unlock a robotic UFO ability; the new Meta Knight amiibo will unlock a Meta Knight themed sword ability; King Dedede will grant the ability to wield a massive hammer; and finally, Waddle Dee will unlock a parasol and costume.
We’re sure even more amiibo will be compatible with Kirby: Planet Robobot when it releases on June 10th. Stay tuned for more updates as new information’s released!
