With Pokémon Day just around the corner, fans across the country are getting excited about the upcoming events to celebrate 20 years of Pokémon.

It’s no secret that the newly opened Nintendo NY’s second big event will be in tandem with Pokémon’s anniversary, as shortly after they announced the opening weekend celebrations, came another announcement of Pokémon Day being celebrated at the store in New York. Of course, this mainly benefits those on the East Coast, specifically those in the tri-state area of New York City.

However, those on the West Coast are getting a special treat from the JapanLA Pop Culture Shop, which has teamed up with Pokémon to host a pop-up shop featuring all kinds of special Pokémon merchandise. A lot of this merchandise is going to be exclusive to the pop-up shop, with Pokemon.com claiming that much will be coming from a “long list of specialty designers and companies.”

JapanLA-PokemonDay

The store will open at 6:00 p.m. PST, February 27th, with opening night activities such as a photo booth and trivia. There’s also going to be “Pokémon fashion like never before,” so if you’re in the area it definitely sounds like it’ll be worth stopping by! It’s advised you get there early, as it’s sure to be crowded.

And if you can’t make it opening day, have no fear! The pop-up shop will be open every day for an entire month, until its closing day on March 27th. If you live in or around Los Angeles, make sure to check it out at least once!
