Last week, a tweet from the official Pokkén Tournament Twitter account announced that a new fighter with the Japanese character “ra” in its name would be revealed for Pokkén Tournament on January 15th. As promised, the official Pokkén Tournament site announced that the new fighter for the upcoming game is Chandelure, which is a Ghost/Fire type Pokémon.
Earlier this week, it was leaked that the fighters Garchomp, Braxien and Mewtwo would join the game’s roster, but they never received a formal announcement like Chandelure.
At the moment, there are virtually no details about the newly announced Pokémon, but we can expect to learn more about its moves and fighting style in the near future. Pokkén Tournament is scheduled to be released for the Wii U during the spring of this year.
