‘Twas the night before Christmas and it sure was a rouser! Not one soul could sleep – not even a Mouser. There sat Daisy and Peach, snug by the fire, 3DSes in hand, flush with gaming desire.

The Koopalings were jumping on top of their beds, while Ridley shot fireballs straight at their heads. In jumped a hero – why, it was Link, of course! – to put an end to his evil with a fair bit of force.

Villager sipped cocoa, a treat straight from Brewster, to keep him awake: a sort of sugary booster. “Hey, listen!” Navi cried, floating near her screen. It was the greatest thing any of them had ever seen!

“12 Days of Gifts?” Elma had asked; the others observed, completely aghast. “Check out these items! They’re awesome! They’re cool!” “A Splatoon squid plush? That totally rules!”

“Quick!” yelled Pit. “Log on to Amazon!” Palutena was nervous as she held her baton. They were selling out fast: dozens a minute, I’d say! It was then Chrom sighed, “I’ll get my chance another day…”

A book all on lore, soft Pokémon to adore… there wasn’t a thing that didn’t make them want more. Lucina was surprised. “Wait, look: it’s me! I can stuff that Figma right under the tree!”

The group sat in fear, understandably worried. Despite their best efforts, the site wasn’t hurried. Kirby broke the silence: nobody had spoken. “I’m pretty sure that my F5 is broken…”

Then: success! They all snagged their favorite gifts – a second, a third, and even a fifth! Mario looked on, a fervent admirer. “Thank you so much, Nintendo Inquirer!”
