Aside from a wealth of character announcements, the final Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS presentation also made time for a few amiibo announcements. After previously being leaked by amiibo displays across the country, we were finally given release dates for the penultimate batch of amiibo. Roy and Ryu, as well as a version with R.O.B.’s original Famicom color scheme, will be released in North America on March 18, 2016.

Amiibo for the final three newcomers– Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta– were also confirmed to be in production, though there were no details shared beyond that. The end of the Smash Bros. amiibo line appears to be in sight, the release of Famicom R.O.B. does open up the possibility of other characters receiving similar treatment. Who’s to say? At any rate, the long road of Smash Bros. amiibo still looks to have a few miles left on it!
