It’s official! Volcanion, the first ever Water- and Fire-Type Pokémon is here, and we’re ready for him.

Just two days ago, the cover of the next issue of the Japanese magazine CoroCoro was leaked, and it was revealed to have pictures of the mythical Pokémon, as well as information inside the magazine. Just today, the official Pokémon YouTube channel announced Volcanion through a reveal video, noting that details about him will come later.

It seems like Pokémon caught wind of this leak and decided to go ahead and reveal it before it happened unofficially. This is peculiar, as CoroCoro is notorious for getting the fans Pokémon news before it’s officially announced. Is Pokémon finally recognizing this?

Some of you may remember Volcanion from a couple years ago; upon the release of Pokémon XY, some players particularly good with programming got into the game’s code and found three legendary Pokémon that were not available in-game: Diancie, Hoopa and Volcanion.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information about Volcanion! Though the Hoopa event is still underway, we’re sure he’ll get a release date soon.

You can check out more details about Volcanion on the official Pokémon site!
