Another installment of Splatfest is on the way for North American Splatoon players, the official Splatoon Tumblr announced.
Just in time for the holiday season, the next Splatfest will pit Team Naughty against Team Nice for the ultimate showdown to win Santa Claus’ favor.
Players have been treated to the day-long Splatfest since the game’s release early last summer. The event sees the face-off between two opposing teams in special games of Turf Wars. During this 24-hour period, players are matched exclusively with others from their region. In the wake of the tournament, a winning team is decided through a combination of popularity polling and number of wins. All participating players receive Super Sea Snails as spoils based on their team selection and personal performance. These items allow players to reroll ability slots or add additional ones to their gear.
This holly-and-jolly edition of Splatfest is scheduled to take place next Friday, December 18th, starting at 12:00 a.m. EST and will run for 24 hours.
