Through an update on Twitter and their official website, the Pokémon Company has officially announced the dates for its 2016 World Championships.

The competitions, both for the TCG and the video games, will take place in San Francisco, specifically at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel. The tournaments will run for three days, from August 19th to August 21st, this upcoming summer.

Keep in mind that this is an invitation-only event, which means that unless you’ve been selected from the qualified competitors, you won’t be able to participate. However, the Pokémon Company has assured us that there will be plenty of fun side events and other things to do for all attendees!

The date is still aways away, so not many more details have been released so far. But if you’re interested, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated as more information is released!
