Thanks to to a leaked Walmart Black Friday ad, we’ve gotten word that the elusive Modern Color 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo is making his way to Walmart shelves on Black Friday. The figure, previously only available inside the Wii U Deluxe Mario Maker bundle in the U.S., is going to finally be offered outside of the bundle as a standalone piece.
Though I know there are amiibo collectors out there die-hard enough to buy a console to complete their collection, it will be nice to finally be able to pick this one up on its own. The last Mario amiibo exclusive to Walmart was Gold Mario, the rarest release to date. Let’s hope that Modern Mario’s stock is more plentiful. Fingers crossed!
