Nintendo of Europe announced via Twitter that Series 2 of the Animal Crossing amiibo cards and the matching album for the series will be released on November 20th.
So far, no announcement of a U.S. release has been made. The Series 1 cards made their way to the region just a few weeks ago, on September 25th, and many major retailers continue to be either low on stock or are completely sold out of the popular cards. The vibrant Series 1 album that was released in Europe was never released in the U.S., so it’s not looking likely at the moment that we’ll be seeing this second album on store shelves in the states.
U.S. amiibo card collectors’ only local option for acquiring a card album for their collections is by attending Nintendo events held across the country. The Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Amiibo Card Collector’s Book is the region’s own version of the album, and it’s handed out (for free!) at the events held at certain stores, like New York’s Nintendo World Store and certain GameStop locations.
