Bandai Namco just announced during the Pokémon World Championships that Pokkén Tournament is coming to the Wii U worldwide in Spring 2016.

No longer do you need to fear that the arcade version will never make it to a city near you, as soon you will be able to enjoy the Pokémon fighter in the comfort of your own home.

In addition to the game announcement, Bandai Namco also unveiled a new fighter joining the battle: Pikachu Libre.

This Libre fighter edition joins the other fighters previously announced making a roster comprised of: Blaziken, Charizard, Gardevoir, Gengar, Lucario, Machamp, Pikachu, Suicune and Weavile.

Finally, also released this morning is a new gameplay video showing off what you can expect in this title.
