Nintendo revealed some encouraging sales numbers for Super Mario Maker today. In the two and a half weeks since its worldwide launch, the player-powered platformer has sold more than 1 million units across the globe. About a quarter of those can be attributed to Japan, where Nintendo continues to dominate both the home and portable console markets.

And what does a million Super Mario Maker players get you? Well, let’s put it this way: There are already more levels uploaded than you could get through in the rest of your life: 2.2 million to be exact. Let’s just hope the curation continues to improve so we can sift out the levels we will enjoy most.

While it doesn’t appear to be the silver bullet (bill) that will turn the Wii U’s fortunes around, it’s clear that Super Mario Maker is a hit, and now sits comfortably among the system’s best games.
