UPDATE 2: The debut trailer for Ace Attorney 6 has been revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2015.

UPDATE: Ace Attorney 6 will indeed be seeing a western release according to Shacknews.com.

In a surprise Famitsu announcement, Capcom has revealed the development of a brand new entry in the popular Ace Attorney franchise. It comes just after the Japanese launch of Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken, a spin-off title set in the Meiji era.

Little information was shared about the upcoming title for the 3DS, but we do know it shares the same producer as 2013’s Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, Motohide Eshiro. It is unclear at this time if Shu Takumi, the director of every main Ace Attorney game up until Apollo Justice, will be making his return to the story of Phoenix Wright.

Capcom promises more information regarding Ace Attorney 6 at the Tokyo Game Show later this month. In the meantime, Famitsu has provided scans that help give us a glimpse of what’s to come!
