Following a reveal on the official Pokémon website, fans across the globe have been treated to fresh information about Zygarde’s recently-leaked new forms.

While the news had been previously publicized through a CoroCoro leak, specifics about the new forms have remained hazy.

According to the official Pokémon site, among the new forms for Zygarde are Zygarde Cell, Zygarde Core, Zygarde 10% Forme and Zygarde Complete Forme – previously translated as “Zygarde Perfect Forme.”

The site states that Zygarde’s new chain of transformation begins with Zygarde Cells, which act as the Pokémon’s building blocks and are found “scattered throughout the region.” Additionally, Zygarde Cells are said to be unable to learn or use any moves, causing “researchers [to] question whether they can even be called Pokémon.”

Following Zygarde Cell on the chain is Zygarde Core, which acts as the “brain” of Zygarde. Zygarde Cores are self-aware, communicating to other Cores and Cells through telepathy.

After this stage comes Zygarde 10% Forme, which is achieved after a Zygarde Core gathers 10% of nearby Cells. The site claims this form is capable of both unbelievable speed and attacking with sharp fangs.

Zygarde 50% Forme is next in the chain and possesses the serpentine appearance with which fans are most familiar. This stage is realized after the collection of 50% of Zygarde Cells.

Finally, Zygarde becomes whole once its Core has gathered all possible Cells. The site describes Zygarde’s Complete Forme as the consequence of a grave threat to the ecosystem, causing the Zygarde Core to mature to its full potential. Furthermore, the Complete Forme is said to be more powerful than both its legendary counterparts Xerneas and Yveltal.

Lastly, the new anime Greninja appearance also leaked via CoroCoro was given an official reveal, as well. Called “Ash-Greninja,” the form is the result of a special bond created between anime protagonist Ash Ketchum and his Greninja. Said to be a phenomenon “shrouded in mystery,” this transformation has occurred only once before many hundreds of years ago.
