Jakks Pacific showed off a wide array of upcoming Nintendo merchandise at its San Diego Comic-Con panel yesterday. In the images below you can see a large focus on Mario and the Star Fox crew, but there are also some surprise appearances from Olimar, Skull Kid and the Animal Crossing villager.

Nintendo signed the deal with Jakks Pacific for merchandising way back in February 2013, as part of its ongoing effort to expand its IPs to other commercial areas. Steve Singer, vice president of licensing for Nintendo of America, had this this to say at the time:

“We are eager to offer a robust and comprehensive lineup of products to satisfy our fan base and generations of Nintendo enthusiasts. This partnership with Jakks Pacific affords us tremendous opportunity to grow the presence of our iconic brands at retail.”

We’d say they’ve definitely delivered on that front. Are you planning on picking any of these up? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

A special thanks goes to Action Figure Fury for the images.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
