You may or may not be familiar with the HitBox, a controller designed for fighting games that replaces the joystick with extra buttons. It’d designed to be more ergonomically friendly, mechanically precise, and a boon for gamers with certain disabilities, making it a very cool product — one whose design has been humorously modded onto a set of DK Bongos.

Via the work of @Kasparous and @KingJobber, the gimmicky controller used for Donkey Kong and DK Jungle Beat has been transformed into… well, still a gimmicky controller, but a functional one that can allow you to wake-up DP if you need to. It’s surely an exercise more in humor than functionality, but there’s something enticing about the product. I want to see someone win a Smash tourney with one. We can only hope such a legend comes true one day.
