It’s been two weeks since the launch of Pokémon GO, and while the game has debuted in Oceania, America, Canada and most of Europe, it somehow hadn’t come out in Pokémon’s home country of Japan. Until now, as the worldwide sensation is now available in its homeland.

While there were some conflicting reports earlier this week, the app is now downloadable on iOS and Android devices. There will be a partnership with McDonald’s involving the game, though the details are currently unknown. Presumably they will involve locations being Poké Stops or Gyms, though we can’t know for sure.

The game still has yet to come out in several regions of the world, including Latin America, France and China. Check back for more details in the future.
