The launch of Pokémon GO has been innumerably successful for Niantic, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. More and more records and statistics each day show that – and this may be the most impressive one yet, as GO is the fastest mobile game to 10 million worldwide downloads, achieving the feat in only a week’s time.
The initial boom and widespread media coverage of the app are certainly important factors in breaking Clash Royale’s previous nine day record for the milestone. And it’s worth noting that Pokémon GO isn’t even out in every country yet – it’s notably absent from big pools of potential users like France, China, and even Pokémon’s home country of Japan. We’ll see how many more records the game will smash in due time.
