Fans from all over the world were ready to write, draw, and create when more information was shared about Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses once Nintendo’s E3 Direct concluded last week. And thanks to a surprise announcement at the tail-end of the presentation, the focus quickly shifted to Hyrule.
The short Breath of the Wild 2 teaser was filled with jumpcuts that showed off different scenes — and it already has fans scrambling to theorize what’s coming in the next title. Until we have a release date and more trailers to pick apart, the fan community has been celebrating with fan art. More specifically, artists have been focusing on Princess Zelda’s new haircut and the possibility of a dead/re-dead/corpse version of Ganondorf — adding water to the mix.
Below is a small selection of “BOTW2” Ganondorf renders and interpretations. Is he a villain, a fallen hero, or a final third of this buddy Triforce group? Whatever your headcanon is, someone out there is drawing it and posting it online! Here are a few of our favorites:

And so, proud King Ganondorf embarked on his long journey to Hyrule Castle. The legend called for him, though he did not yet know what part he was meant to play. #botw2 pic.twitter.com/d4xVZ6C0fS
