Blade Strangers is one of the oddest fighting games on Switch, being a cross-over brawler with an eclectic selection of franchises, where Curly from Cave Story can fight Shovel Knight. Now another indie character is seemingly set to join the fray, at least going by a mysterious screenshot tweeted out by Nicalis’ Twitter account…
Aban performs a perfectly timed Counter vs Curly in #CrystalCri–wait, what!?! This isn't #CrystalCrisis! pic.twitter.com/sYFSHcGRQM

Aban Hawkins was originally the star of the well-regarded 2014 platformer 1001 Spikes, from 8bits Fanatics and Nicalis. The cheeky nod to Crystal Crisis is a reference to how he’s already planned to be in that puzzle fighter-styled game when it launches this May.
Hopefully we’ll get more specifics regarding this potential DLC soon!
