Tetris is getting the battle royale treatment with Tetris 99, a new game announced during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members.
“99 players, but only one reigns supreme,” the announcement clip says. “The iconic puzzle game arrives with an online experience like no other.”
The game is also said to have “upcoming online events” on top of its regular gameplay.
Tetris 99 is a free-to-download game available as a “special offer” for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, and will be available later today on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
